There is going to be a lot of memorizing at first, instrument parts, types of strings, string names, note names, and chord shapes. The important thing is that you understand that these are tools. The more a person can remember the easier it will become to learn more. People get confused when they hear or read the words " Music Theory" I was taught and now I understand that music theory is only an after fact it is in affect what already happen. We use music theory to explain what we just did or how we did it so that other people can do it to.

Special note for you!

“You will notice that the material on my Web Site will be changing from time to time. The material that I am sharing with you is from my memory and not a book. I am using my own words my own pictures and some clip art from the internet to describe to you what I learned from other people by doing and studying and dissecting my own music. I was fortunate enough to be taught by two really good musicians.

So keep checking back, you are always welcome on “http://musictheoryforguitar101.com”
